Arctic Ice

Andrew Adams (A.K.A Arctic Ice) is a twenty-one year old living in Johannesburg, South Africa. He is A Bachelor of Arts Graduate from Wits University in International Relations and Politics.

Andrew's love for music started when he was eight years old when he joined the St Stithians Boy's Preparatory Choir in which he remained for five years. During that period he also learnt how to play the recorder and piano which he did for four years. At the end of his Grade Seven year he decided to take up the Clarinet which he played for five years before he found his true passion in DJ'ing. Andrew owes his love of dance music to Derek "The Bandit". Dereks shows on a Friday and Saturday night on 5FM were a huge inspiration.

Andrew went to DJ MixClub in Blairgowrie where he learnt how to DJ under the guidance of Jayson "The FoOl" Faber. He owes his abilities on the turntables entirely to the patience, skill, enthusiasm and support of Jayson, as do many many other DJ's.

Andrew's other passions lie in Computers, Politics and law. He has completed the A+ Computer Technitians course and was also Vice Chairman of the Entrepreneurship Society at St Stithians Boys College. He also held positions on the Jubilee Committee, Marketing Committee and Public Relations Team.

Andrew was never a very sporting person and a knee injury eight years ago ensured that he would not play sport again, save for another one of his passions, SCUBA Diving. His inability to play sport allowed for him to spend more time concentrating on his music.
